I agree with Z on these matters...we have discussed this in private and in general she speaks for all of Blood Inc here.

Im particularly interested in the protection issue....I fully agree that players should be able to buy and use protection if they wish but Im absolutely against the use of protection during wars.
We all do it because we can but it really does make war a pointless excersize when one side or even both sides are using protection.
Whats the point of billions in stats when your targets are untouchable?

Also the emergency surgery is being abused as Z has already pointed out...could use a tweak or something.

Just my 2cents worth.

THe protections will stay as they are, as it`s a good way of earning some cash for server, and other things. And for your curiosity there are not much players who bought that. in the last 4 weeks.. maybe just one or 2 players bought protection. The problem is that we don`t have wars. For that i need to fix the attack system, and start some wars .. that will happen soon .. and yea, who wants protection.. pay for it, that will help HIM.. and MESmile

THe cap on items in market was applied. Now i need to apply it for donator packs, also.

The problem is there wont be any wars!!!!! as every knows, many will at war time buy protection, so no one will declare unless they are rich enough in rl to afford protection.

Im not rich, I cant afford protection. However I do have huge stats.
For what? in a war they will be useless if the other clan is protected. I will be a sitting duck ,waiting and hoping they cant beat me but I cant attack back and win points if they use protection. We have seen that in the past, 90% of a clan had protection......Pointless wars.

I understand the need for donations and protection donations are good but not good for the game, that is why I offered some alterations, using protection AND keeping the game and wars fair.

I have a bunch of ideas to add to this discussion. I worked on them overnight, thus the delay in responding.

First, price caps are good. 150% seems fair to me, though yes, why put a minimum on? Too much unnecessesary coding.

With that, though, you need to place a value on "Donator" items, such as DP's and protection packs, to offer them a little protection in a players inventory. I have been "broken into", but the player was not able to steal or destroy my
items as they were too valuable. I think this may help a lot.

As for Wars...why not place a limit on the length they are allowed to go? After a week, players start to give up on the game. Another thought, if you want to re-declare after a very short time, like two weeks, you must donate R/L cash.

With this thought, came another. Let Clans change from Peaceful to Bloodsthirsty, and back, but with time limits. It can only be done once a month or something, AND it costs the Clan a lot of game money to do it. Make the people think before they make the move.

Also, what about players becoming "Mercenaries", fighting for the Clan that pays the best.

Finally, though I hate the thought, we are going to have marriages based on using the lower players banks. This is a fact of the game, and one that comes with risks. Suggestion: pre-nups. Put it all in writing, in a game mail from one partner to the other outlining who the money REALLY belongs to, including houses, ect. These marriages are really business dealings, so treat them as such. Also, this will give staff something to work from to help a player whos spouse decides to divorce them suddenly and keep all the assets.

What is the point in going to war against clan who have one or two player stronger than everyone in your clan?You can't do nothing,even if you can beat rest of the clan.There top player(s) are stronger and they keep you in hospital.That is no war,that is slaughter.
But if someone in your clan is protected,then you can take back some respect.You can built your strategy and even win the war.I mean no disrespect but stats only,doesn't make you great player.
So I think protection is not such a bad thing.

I agree with time limit on wars.As we have seen there has been some ridiculous wars in past.

As for changing from peaceful to bloodthirsty it should cost huge amount of respect also.

Finally,I think there's no need for pre-nups.You should marry someone you trust.If things turn bad,well too bad.We are getting good interest in our spouses banks,so some risk should be involved.

I am not against protection ... as it will always be in the game any way.......
I repeat: that is why I offered solutions using protection AND!! keeping the game fair.

Why be strong if you cant fight back coz they are ALL protected????

Im trying to find a way to keep the game and wars playable AND using protection.
hence my idea to limit it to 2 players per clan or whatever......
or once a month a protection free couple of days.
Im sure there are other options that can be used also.

I never suggested that good stats alone make a good player...sigh......

I see also that no one says any thing about the emergy surgery being abused. last I looked a few were in from 2000 to 5500 minutes......that is ridiculous.!!!!

If re declaring is set at a certain amount of time it should NOT be possible to buy your way out of that using rl money. There already is enough * extra options * available for the rl rich among us....


I hope admin will take all these posts into consideration

Heh, like i said the protections will be used as they are now. If someone want PREMIUM services (protections, etc) pay for them. If not, that`s it... chapter closed with protections.
